1. Floor Bounce Pass Drill Instructions
All you need is a Vector Ball and 2 athletes.
Athletes stand about 10 feet apart and bounce pass Vector Ball to each other. Each time Vector Ball strikes the floor it will turn either red, green, or blue. The athlete must catch it with the hand that corresponds to the color:
- Green = Catch with Left hand
- Red = Catch with Right hand
- Blue = Catch with Both hands
The object is to complete as many successful bounce-passes as they can in 1 minute. And the other teams will try to best that number.
Drill Multipliers
To increase difficulty and cognitive load to this drill:
- Athletes stand on one leg, adding the brain task of maintaining steady balance while focusing on catching Vector Ball with the correct hand.
- Athletes bounce pass Vector Ball closer to their partner, so they have less time to react and catch it with the correct hand.
And As Always – Go As Fast As Your Brain Can!
