1. Wall Ball Drill Instructions:
All you need is a Vector Ball and a firm wall to throw it against.
Stand about 6 feet from a wall and toss Vector Ball firmly against the wall. You may be tempted to bounce it above your head, to make it easier, but try to bounce Vector Ball at eye level. Each time Vector Ball strikes the wall it will turn either red, green, or blue. The athlete must catch it with the hand that corresponds to the color. For example:
- Green = Catch with Left hand
- Red = Catch with Right hand
- Blue = Catch with Both hands
Drill Multipliers
To increase difficulty and cognitive load to this drill:
A) Athlete stands on one leg, adding the brain task of maintaining steady balance while focusing on catching Vector Ball with the correct hand.
B) Associate numbers with the colors i.e., Red = 1, Green = 2, Blue = 3, and have the athlete perform simple addition as they perform the drill. For Example:
Vector Ball bounces Green, athlete says “2”, then Vector Ball bounces Red, athlete says “3” (2+1), then Vector Ball bounces Blue, athlete says “6” (2+1+3), etc.

3. Let’s Go
We recommend about 5 minutes per session, and 2-3 times a week to achieve full benefits of Cognitive Vision Training with Vector Ball.
