- Don’t panic, train your brain. #BrainSweat
1. Hot Potato Drill Instructions:
All you need is a Vector Ball and 3 athletes.
Athletes stand in a small circle, about 6–8 feet apart and assign each athlete a color (either red, green, or blue). Vector Ball will turn either red, green, or blue each time it is caught, and the athlete must quickly toss it to his or her teammate who was assigned that color.
If the athlete catches their own color, then they must toss it back to the athlete who tossed it to them.
The object is to complete as many correct passes as they can in 1 minute. And the other teams will try to best that number.
Drill Multipliers
- A) Extend the time allotted to work on cognitive endurance.
- B) Athletes stand on one leg, adding the brain task of maintaining steady balance while focusing on catching and tossing Vector Ball to the right teammate.
And As Always – Go As Fast As Your Brain Can!
